We Do Marketing were delighted to be appointed by Middlesbrough Town Centre Management to deliver the towns first Fashion Week.

Working in collaboration with Tubbyphunk, Saville Audio Visual and Dandy Promotions & Events the team at We Do delivered a host of runway shows, style events, retailer discounts and an independent Designer Marketplace.

Shoppers visiting the town centre across Fashion Week were met with fabulous pink runways, funky décor and plenty of style advice. To add extra sparkle many of the town’s retailers were offering exclusive discounts and offers.

A retail initiative supported by Middlesbrough Council, FASHIONWEEK brought together the town’s independent retailers, designers and high street brands to work in collaboration with one another.

As part of Fashion Week the retailer line-up included Tees Valley’s largest independent department store, Psyche who opened the week with a VIP ‘Fashion Rocks’ evening.

This was followed up by further events that included the New Look Lock-in, in-store catwalk shows in Marks and Spencer and BHS whilst House of Fraser played host to ‘Boys in the Basement, Ladies in the Loft’.

To the delight of shoppers hundreds of fully loaded Middlesbrough Fashion Week gift bags where also distributed by the Mall .

Karen Shields, from Middlesbrough Town Centre Management, said: “ I am delighted  Middlesbrough’s first ever Fashion Week has been such a success. The town’s retailers have come together to show their support and many of them have put on their own exciting programme of events, promotions and discounts leaving shoppers spoilt for choice.

Fashion Week provides retailers with a much-needed boost and also gives shoppers an alternative, exciting and engaging shopping experience.

This was our first event, feedback thus far has been extremely positive and Middlesbrough Fashion Week will get bigger and better in years to come.“
